the red and black - photo's from abroad

just following on from an idea that was floated in a previous thead, we all go on holidays these days and a lot of us like to bring our town jersey with us and wear the red and black with pride on foriegn soil, so hows about we do as cork have done and open a page on flansiro.net with picutres of de town jersey in various parts of the world , we cam advertise the fact on certain web sites and maybe even in one f in longford and possibaly even in the match programme, where we could publish an odd photo.

so is anyone interested, if you only have a photo we can scan it or if you have it on a digital camera you can e mail it, the gang from flansiro let me know what you think ??????

Nice idea there DJ, We've been thinking about photo's on flansiro.net for sometime. Player photo's, fan's photo's even photos from the post match Pub.

As alway's, it will be part of an encouragement to get fan's involved in making the site something which will be fan orientated.

We're all supporters of the Red and Black and it's something we can work towards.

also you'll need an adderss to send photos to and try to get people to take the picture in front of a famous landmark if possible

Regarding the mail address photos@flansiro.net, We have not gone into the detail of email with Adam (who kindly hosts Flansiro.net) but the email set-up is flansiro.net@oxygen.ie which has 5Mb space. This is plenty of room for your photographs.

I need to discuss the implications of how I'm want to recieve the pictures, i.e. what size and format. There is quite an amount of editing involved to maximise file size and thus the download speeds so if interested parties could just quietly gather your photo's together and we should be ready to fire next weekend.
