Hi,

As you can probably see, my name is Jeff.

I need to speak either via e-mail, or on this forum, to any St Pats fan. You see, I work for a company who make computer games in the Midlands. We are currently making a manager game due to be October. I was placed in charge of the Eircom Premier league and its teams. My job is to make sure that the squads for the ongoing season are accurate, as are the tactics, formations, kits, values, grounds, managers, etc.

It is also a necessity that I speak to at least one fan from every club so that I they can verify that the information I have obtained is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Unfortunately, there do not seem to be many fans out there who actually support Saint Patrick's Athletic because I still haven't been able to talk to one. I even found a Derry City supporter who could verify information on their team, but as of yet, no one from St Pat's. Can any of you help me out?

I need to know things from you, to see if they match what I have on my database, so if anyone could answer these questions for me, I would appreciate it very much:

Who is the manager?

What is the name of the Stadium?

What is the capacity of the Stadium?

Who captains the side?

Who takes the free kicks?

Who takes the penalties?

Who takes the corners?

Do you have a long throw specialist?

What formations does the manager use this season at home and away?

What are the tactics (home and away)? How do St Pats play?
Eg.

"Attacking at home, keeping posession. Defensive and on the break away from home."

It is very important that someone contacts me. I want to make St Pat's an accurate representation within the game, like I have already done for the other teams in the Eircom Premier League.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

Regards

Jeff Jefty Jeff

You'll have to register but you'll reach all of us. Might be an idea to get different opinions

Thank you very much for what you have told me. Thankfully, your answers proved my information to be accurate. It was very kind of you to take the time out to help me with my research.

I have one more favour to ask of you. Obviously if you do not want to do anything else there are no problems, however, it would continue to help me out if you could do this for me.

If you don't want to do it, just e-mail me back and tell me, and there will be no problem whatsoever.

Below is a table, containing the names and positions of St Patrick's Athletic players. Could you please go through the list, and let me know of any mistakes - have I forgotten anyone? Is this player really a midfielder? etc.

Team_Name First_Name Surname Position Playing_Side
St Patrick's Barry Prenderville Midfielder Right
St Patrick's Charles Mbabazi Livingstone Attacker Right & Centre
St Patrick's Chris Adamson Goalkeeper All
St Patrick's Colm Foley Defender Centre
St Patrick's Darragh Maguire Midfielder Centre
St Patrick's David Freeman Attacker Right & Centre
St Patrick's Davy Byrne Midfielder Centre
St Patrick's Gavin Doyle Midfielder All
St Patrick's James Gallagher Goalkeeper All
St Patrick's Jimmi Lee Jones Attacker Centre
St Patrick's Karim El Khébyr Defender All
St Patrick's Keith Fahey Midfielder Right
St Patrick's Liam George Attacker All
St Patrick's Martin Russell Midfielder Left
St Patrick's Michael Holt Attacker Right & Centre
St Patrick's Paul Donnelly Midfielder Left & Right
St Patrick's Paul Osam Midfielder Centre
St Patrick's Robbie McGuinness Midfielder Right & Centre
St Patrick's Ryan Casey Defender Left & Centre
St Patrick's Tony Bird Attacker Left & Right

I also noticed that St Pat's, or rather the St Pat's data that I gathered does not have many defenders. Is this a mistake? I think it must be. If you could correct any mistakes your help would be invaluable.

Thank you very much,

Jeff Jefty Jeff

Is there any way I can find out their birthdays, signed dates and a photo of them - this is specifically for the new ones that you mentioned?

Most are available on the official site http://www.stpatsfc.com

I'm afraid that website is not a very good one. I could hardly find any birthdates to be honest. Do you know of any others?

Not birthdates but if you e-mail the club info@stpatsfc.com

they'll give them to you

I think I already have done, but they just didn't reply. Are you sure there are no websites with birthdate information?

Perhaps one of you has a matchday programme with the info contained within - I don't know.

I'll write back to them, anyhow.

Thank you everyone. I have to say the Irish are certainly the most pleasant fans with whom I have worked.

Cheers,

Jeff

Thank you for these birthdates, and for the information on Robbie McGuinness.

I have another couple of questions to ask.

What is the deal with Martin Russell?

- Is he a St Pat's player?
- If so, how long has he been there for?
- If not, where did he go?

The same also applies to Michael Holt - I have him as existing on my database, but not in the St Pat's squad. Can you help?

Thank you,

Jeff

Russell signed in 1998 and played his last game for us at the end of last season (January) He was 35 and decided to retire. When our manager got sacked, his assitant (Eamonn Collins) replaced him and he appointed Russell as his assitant. he may/may not be signed as a player if we need emergency cover but I doubt it

Michael Holt has signed for Derry City.

E-mail me at osamisdoubtful@yahoo.ie if you need further info
