If you register on the Carlsberg website, they'll send you out vouchers for free pints and a free ball. Prefer Becks myself, but free drink is free drink. as anyone who has signed up to the Guinness equivalent offer will know. Just thought I'd let people know. :p

That is rather ambiguous. But they're part of Diagio, as are Guinness, the stuff they're giving away is similar, and vouchers and a free ball wouldn't exactly make the best prizes ever. I'm 99% sure you'll get your stuff.

I was at a wedding in Mayo when I got a free pint of Carlsberg (I lowered my standards as it was free), and netered into a draw. Since then, every couple of months I get a voucher in the post for another free pint - in that particular pub in Mayo. That's a long way to go for a pint.

Had my first ever bottle of Carlsberg at the horsies the other day.

Thought it was grand, kick the $hit out of heineken for example.

Carlsberg is ok, but the proper full strength Heineken is lovely. I'm not sure if thats sold here. I always thought we got sold the watered down sewage - like Budweiser.

I personally have only two reasons to return to Derry
1) The Brandywell
2) cause I can afford bottled beer.

And also the Porterhouse here does a great lager called Chiller.

The Porterhouse does a great lager called Hersbrucker. Chiller is good at what it is - a Bud clone.
Becks isn't bad at all.

Not in the slightest. Having samplied rather overmuch of it last night, it most certainly does not. It has quite a sharp taste, much more so that Bud which I find has a far 'flatter' taste. Not to mention that Bud tastes like flavoured water.

Ok that was a little harsh - but it is their take on the American "Light" lager, and it is a lot better than a Bud clone. The Hersbrucker is more of a take on the european/German type lager, and is much nicer than chiller, IMO.

Drink something often enough and you'll like it. I drank Carlsberg for about a year or 2. Now I can't stand it. I don't like Heineken but I bet if I drank it for a few weeks I'd grow to like it.

same as willy, landed home to it yesterday!! was delighted if a bit disapointed wit da ball, but it will be handy for indoor in the sitting room :D i went to the petrol station to blow it up but funny enough it didnt work!! a nice 6 pack for the CL final tomoro night now with 2 euro off!!

Becks is a lovely beer out of the bottle. It has a proper malty taste off it. They have over here a few other types with lemon grass flavour and orange.

A recommendation for you if your having a shandy; try it with Fanta or Club Orange instead of lemonade. I'm telling you on a warm day it's the most refreshing drink you could have.

My flatmate got his today. Looking at it I was rather disappointed. You actually have to pay money towards the alcohol; I remember with the Guinness Casino Nights thing you got 6 totally free cans. That's the last time I trust Carlsberg...
