Ok I gather that some of you had a look at a sample shirt up in Bray. Rebel seemed positive in his reaction.
Is the shirt good quality?
Is the crest bigger?
Does the round neck make it like a manky Liverpool shirt?
Is the amount of green too insignificant?
What's the story lads?
Peadar.
Is the shirt good quality?
Yes, the material is the same as current one.
Is the crest bigger?
Yes, twice the size.
Does the round neck make it like a manky Liverpool shirt?
No, I think it looks well, personally. But then I can't picture the Liverpool shirt.
Is the amount of green too insignificant?
No again! Just right said papa bear!
The quality as I said seemed to me to be better, as less shiney than current one but maybe also thinner (but hey summer footie is also here ;) )
Dunno about the 'roundy' neck but could possibly be like the Liverpool one but lets hope not.
Didn't see the crest as was distracted at the time.
IMO the green was too insignificant as you won't see from very far away. Maybe the socks will have a decent bit o green on?
Should look kool with the shorts which apparently the white from under the arms with continue down.
Overall theres a whole lot more red than previously. Hopefully they'll be available for the fans before one of the big dublin games in september......

The new jersey is class, keeping up City's tradition of having the best strip in the league. It should be a big seller and offset the trend of fans buying the away shirt instead.
What is amazing about the new jersey is that Noelle told me that Gunther helped her to design it!!
He never struck me as the fashion conscious type.:p

I also saw the jersey and reckon that it will sell very well. While Gunther may not be a Jean Paul Gaultier or Louis Copland, he is a dedicated follower of fashion. Our very own fashion Guru. Theres even talk of an echo column entitled "Football Fashion" in which he will preview the top 11 outfits that will be gracing The X this season. Rumours that the are all identical with different numbers on the back and he can't tell the difference have been dismissed by his spokes person (Noelle).

Peadar, I've just checked with Noelle and she says 'It's in America, just next to New York...'
That make any sense to you?
Gerry :)
it does look good though, round neck all red, with a white bit down the side with green trim. the guinness sponsorship thing then is in white.
i rekon it will be a big seller for christmas, which is when i expect to see it in the shops. touch wood;)

James, I understand the shirts ARE sorted, but there was a hitch with the shorts :)
Anyway, (apparently) the club will have an official launch of the FULL kit when the shorts prob is sorted FIRST, and then the stuff will be available to the legions of fans patiently waiting for them. I think it should be fairly soon...but really all this should be in hand pre-season. Ever know this kind of thing to (re)occur when Adidas were doing the kit?

So, will the team be wearing the new kit on Sunday?

Straight answer here: I've been told there IS a possibility of them wearing the new kit Sunday. That depends on the shorts situation as explained above. Please note that I said POSSIBILITY. Nothing is certain with CCFC :)
