I'm a student, and only a year older than him. It's shocking to think someone that age could die. I remember him from this site, he'll be missed, RIP.

Been reading this all day but wasnt sure what to say.
Always knew Enda from going to Town matches for as long as I can remember, probably about 6 or 7 years back.Since then,I've regulary travelled to away matches with him, either in my uncles car or on the supporters club bus.
He loved life and had a constant smile on his face unless,as it says on his bebo page when Longford town LOSE a game!
All thought it is a cliche to say that someone is a passionate fan,I think it would hit the nail on the head to say that Enda was without doubht one of the most passionate fans I have ever met,at times I was even taken a back as to how passionate he is.At times, his point of view was certainly not everyones but his passion for the club was there for all to see.
Even after all those years of knowing him and sharing away trips with him,it was only in the last year or so that I realised that he was Sonic when I heard him say the exact same thing that I had read from Sonic on foot.ie.Ironic in that we could have had all those arguements on the way home from the match instead of waiting to go online when we got back to be at each others necks.
He was a true stand goer up untill last season when the numbers in section o were on the up, me and Cabs FINALLY convinced him to give section o a try, where he has been a part of ever since as can be scene as he proudly displays the Section O skin on his bebo page.
He was proud of Longford town and everyone who met him knew it as it was more then likely he'd bring it up within minutes of meeting them.He must have got the most use out of anyone I know of the jerseys he bought as I can prob count the amount of times on my fingers when I've met him and he wasnt wearing the home or away jersey.
Last year when working in a fish market over in America he said that he used to get very funny looks when he'd be jumping up and down on a Saturday afternoon checking live scores on the net.I remember going home from games on a Saturday to go on bebo to give him the report and he'd already have mailed me or Cabs asking about the match in detail, what was mooneys goal like? Why was ya man sent off?Much of a crowd in section o?
Was only on Friday night in tolka when me and Cabs were talking about when he was on crutches last year and as soon as we scored he bolted down the stairs to the pitch, crutches waving in the air as if it was a miracle and he was cured!
Enda of all people didnt deserve to get sick and although once he was sick it never looked good as the days went by it looked like there may be hope but it wasn't to be.
Being involved in a club like Longford Town, you get to make some lifelong friends and Enda was one that I thought would be around for a lot longer. If he could I know that he would want to make every Longford town game possible,I hope that theres livescores on the net wherever you are and I hope that your looking down on Section O on Saturday so we can give ya a proper send off!
I'll miss ya Enda,sleep tight!
very moving, brough a tear to my eye.
rip sonic.
have a word with the big man and he might improve de towns fortunes

Extremely saddened by this. I heard the news yesterday & was sure I knew him, then i went to the Bebo page & sure enough it was the guy I was thinking of. He was a loyal Town supporter through & through. My main memory of him was after the Derry game last year when we got relegated & as I left the ground myself crying I saw him sitting alone up near the exit to the right of the Strokestown Road goal. He had his head in his hands I remember hugging him & saying "We will be back you wait & see". He was sobbing as were many that evening, shocked that the dream was over for our boys. If were all lucky enough to be around when the Town go up again, when that whistle blows on the game that seals it, then think of this young man & smile & let him know we did it.
Take care Enda & hope you are watching over Section O from afar in a safe & peaceful place.
RIP.

Terrible to hear of a death at such a young age, i cant begin to imagine what his family must be going through.
If this is out of order then you dont have to answer it, but does anyone know what happened?
Have not been a member of this forum for long but have been reading posts for about 2 years and often saw Sonic post, RIP Enda.

.
I believe nobody knows exactly what the cause was, even the doctors. As far as I'm aware the best guess was that it was a very rare lung disease. Others may know more however that's just what I heard this evening.

I only knew him from foot.ie and just seemed like a guy with a positive outlook, a decent sort. Stunned that we have lost someone else, makes you sit back and think thats for sure.
Thoughts are with his family and friends, and if its any comfort to them its to know that away from the day to day life around people close to him, he was also well known day to day on foot.ie and other forums. He interacted with people he probably would never meet but they had a huge amount of respect and time for him as his character and personality shone through. The individual stood out from among the crowd and we are all the better for having known him.
Rest in Peace Sonic !!

Normally in times like these, words escape people, but you cannot but be full of praise for the man. I was lucky to have gotten to know him well over the last few years, where his vibrant, lively, warm personality shone through.
Bosco touched on it, but his dedication to the town cause was second to none. While making our first banner, we enlisted enda's help for the letters. Within a half an hour, he had arrived, with a a paintbrush (and a town jersey of course) ready to get down to business.
A sighting walking down main street would be enough to start an indepth conversation about the trials and tribulations about Longford Town, and its one of my abiding memories, that, and Enda being the main who jumped the highest in the whole richmond road side of Tolka, when we beat rovers 1 nil last year.
Enda will never be forgotten by us all, his family, and large group of friends. His attitude, his personality and easy going nature is an example to everyone. The world could do with a lot more Enda Muldowneys.

Shocking news - RIP
Just supervised his sister's class/lab in DIT...it's a very small world.
There was hardly anyone there, such seems testament to the respect he was held in.

Mentioned in Con Murphy's blog:
Fógra: One of the production team, Eamonn, who works on MNS is a staunch Longford Town supporter, and he was very sorry to tell me that Longford lost a loyal and true supporter recently, when 21-year-old Enda Muldowney passed away following a short illness. Enda will be fondly remembered by everyone at the club. RIP.
