Eanna, read the rest of the post, rather than just pickin out 2 lines.
Last year, the club wasn't great off the pitch, but we were still not looking like going bust. THat's the level of off the field inefficiency I could tolerate, as long as we were winning things. Obviously, we're all happy that the club is getting organised on a business level. However, that shouldn't be Pat's focus.
Also, have to agree with tiktok, Gunther brought in some fantastic players. He couldn't make them play, but the raw talent was there for Pat to work with.
Can anyone who was at the match explain how K Murray lasted so long. He was asleep. He won the odd header - but so he should, he's a centre half.
As the game progressed the midfielders must have been getting dizzy with all the changes Dolan was making.
We completely lost shape.
I know Devine's f**k up was the reason we lost but Dolan will never learn?

Devine's **** up was NOT the reason we lost!! Did you see the game at ALL?? We were ****e all over the pitch... shels were head and shoulders above us the whole game... for the devine error, where was the defence for the initial shot? And the backpass **** up was WORSE than devines **** up!!

I take no pleasure in forming this view, but City lost to a poor (Shels) last night and I don't particularly blame the players.
City made (Shels) look good in the second half.
The key problem remains midfield, which is no surprise. But can anyone really claim that Dolan is using the best midfielders he has at his disposal?
As for K Murray in centre mid - he's lost there.
But I guess they have height so Dolan likes them.
As long as Dolan insists on playing two defenders in midfield, City will suffer on the pitch. Sometimes the performances of others (notably, Flynn, George and Colin T last night) will compensate, but not last night.
As for taking Hoggie off and bringing Carey in - talk about a waste. He broke up the back four and left the invisible midfield on the pitch.
Dolan will use smokescreen to cover up a disasterous second half, but lets get to the real questions - like did Dolan take lessons in substitutions from Liam Murphy!
you know what's Hilarious, with a tiny amount of editing SSS's original post on the Waterford game can be applied to the game tonight someone was talking about young players learning from their mistakes, who's going to teach them that if the managment doesn't learn from theirs.
