Have a lamp at this:

why dont the club try and push for this game to be played on a Sunday when Rovers and Cork play on a Friday.This would give as many hoops as possible the opportunity to see the game what with work commitments etc.and the increased vocal support can only help the team.Ithink that we would bring 3 to 400 down there on a sunday compared to less than 100 midweek.And please no-one come on and say we cant play 2 game in that short space of time cos we have often played on a Tuesday following a Sunday match.So for once cn someone please consider the hardcore suppor.And besides we need as many down there as possible to sing the Roy Keane song.

extra 300 hoops in the stadium is an extra €3000 for City. Surely this should be enough to make any stubborn eircom league club see sense!

I hope we do get to play Cork on a sunday, if only to increase the travelling support. It aint the safest place to be going in small numbers and secondly work committments would probably mean I couldnt make it if it was midweek.

As for the Roy Keane song, I think our efforts should be concentrated on the Rennie version, they hate him about a million times more than they like Keane.
I for one will be steering well clear of the horseshoe this time, if anyone is going to brave it don't forget your shield!

Anyway it says on the official site;
http://www.shamrockrovers.ie/
that the game is on Tue. Aug. 26th Turners Cross ko 7.45
