Original date scrapped as Irish U21s were playing Montenegro in Terryland, so game pushed back 2 weeks to tonight. Paddy was right, just over 200 at it, entertaining enough

With the Champions league on the box it was always gonna be a poor crowd.Im always annoyed it affects attendances so much but its the way it is.

Ah cmon, 165 was the attendance, CL or no CL. maybe the fact ye are charging 20euro into it is some of the reason. Was around 35 from longford there so that only makes 120 hardy galwegians.

Thats shocking tbh

Seem to remember a few Galway fans on here criticising other clubs attendances

A rearranged fixture set to clash with Liverpool v Arsenal was always going to lead to a terrible attendance unfortunately.

That's true, but 165 is abysmal regardless of it being the League Cup and whatever is clashes with.

No Excuse. A lot of so called 'die hards' were conspicuous by their absence. My brother in law is a Liverpool fan but was sitting beside me in the stand last night. Pathetic attendance........enjoyable game.

Were they charging 20 quid for the League Cup?!

A friend of mine from Galway said his father didn't renew his season ticket this season, after 20 odd years, because the price had gone up so much.

Season Ticket works fine at The Youths for the League Cup:)

It shouldn't as gates are split. I wouldn't let the FAI know about that if I were you.

In that case Youths would just have to pay a contribution towards the away team's slice of the gate for each season ticket holder admitted. I think in some cases the away side may waive that though.

would have bein nice if galway utd had done a teamsheet or miniprogramme... twenty euros is steep without a match program..

A programme's required (or at least a teamsheet). Rap on the knuckles otherwise. We didn't bother against Harps last year, and the club said it was a requirement.
