REACTION Kenny happy with performance
Bohemians manager Stephen Kenny insists he is happy with his side’s performance against BATE Borisov in Wednesday evening’s Champions League first qualifying round tie.
Bohs lost 1-0 on the night, the defeat and the lack of an away goal meaning the Dubliners face a difficult task when they welcome the Belarussian side to Dalymount Park in a week’s time.
Bohs will be under extreme pressure to keep a clean sheet at Dalyer, as even a concession of one goal would mean that they must score three to win the tie.
Nevertheless, Kenny was upbeat following Wednesday’s game. "We played excellently," he said. "They’re a very good side but our defence was very solid and we kept the ball well. It’s far from over, and I don’t think they’ll beat us at home."
