As of yet, noboby seems to know what the official line on Ross Cosgrave is. JohnD was told he signed, I was told he signed but now it transpires that the man who can really clarify transfer matters, Secretary Noel Hanley, knows nothing about it and hasn't even been in touch with Waterford regarding release papers and his registration. It seems strange that the two clubs wouldn't have discussed this before any 'alleged' transfers had taken place. Yet another example of gross incompetence and lack of communication, or just a simple oversight??

Well from what his cousin told me last week, ross was released by waterford three weeks ago and is a free agent. he played a few junior matchs with his local side cappamore i think in the few weeks since, and was leaning tword Galway but the up and under game didnt appeal to him or his size didnt appeal to United. so hes free and isnt being pushed by anyone into signing for anyone including us. i hope he does sign though we're getting very very short of players. Ricardo anyone??? hes making pitzas for christ sake.

just to clarify...I'm not saying he's not a free agent, but Waterford still would hold his registration and that would be dealt with by both secretaries. Ours doesn't know anything about this so all I'm saying it's not possible for him to have actually signed yet. I do agree with you, they could do with him, and the Pizza making Italian and anyone else half worth their salt....
