For the 3rd Week in a row Ramblers have a representitive on the Team of the Week. Following in the footsteps of Kieran O'Reilly and John Kearney is the man mountain at the back........Kevin Murray!

Thouroughly deserved in my opinion. I thought last Saturday's performence by Kevin was one of his best in a Ramblers shirt. He seems to be Ramblers most consistent pereformer this season along with Muckie, Carey and Kieran O'Reilly.

Well Done Kevin.

Yeah just Bilko

I never had a problem Gutsie or John Meade. If I had a problem with Gutsie I wouldn't sponsor him.
With Barrett and Kearney all I did was agree with everyone else here that they are struggling to cope with the pace of the premier.

I'm nothin but positive when it comes to Ramblers. If I hated them I wouldn't waste my weekends following them around the country.

Where did all this come from?? I never put them down. Anyway i'm injured (convienient but true)

Somebody tell me where this guy came from???? I'm not happy with his comments.

Now thats definetley not true.
You have just come on the internet and slated me because "a person" said something to ya.
I make a fool of myself at most matches because like most of the people on the forum i'm very passionate when it comes to football. I'm the same watching Man Utd on TV as I am up in Ramblers.
At matches I tend to get very worked up which is why no one is allowed ring me or text me while i'm at the match, which ultimately makes me look like a fool!

I agree with ya. Part-time footballers playing against full-timers must be the hardest form of competition there is.

Fair enough those are valid points. I can't argue with them.

I'll watch what I say in the future because thinking back I was quite vocal in Drogheda but that was purely because i'd had a bad day leading up to the kick-off and the result wasn't going our way.

There's a separate thread running for the Sligo game.

Well deserved for Kev, he's a rock. Interesting to see that the guys impressing most are the more experienced players, Carey, Kev, Mucky, O'Reilly. Ok so Bilko, Guts, Cummins and Dav are havin their moments too. Not knocking anyone, but what we've learned so far is that there's no substitute for experience in the Prem.

We need an old head to plug centre mid as soon as we can get someone! I'll get knocked for saying it, but City have about 20 midfielders on the books and surely one or two could do a job for us once the window re-opens?

In the meantime, Mucky and/or Ken Coleman need to be playin there, leave Barrett or Kearney on the bench to run the legs off the opposition in the last 20 if we need it.

gee wizz
02/04/2008, 8:56 AM
I'd leave kearney on the bench he seems to be a bit off the pace,i know its only a couple of games in and you have to adjust to life in the premier but in my opinion he just doesn't look the part at least Barrett will throw in the challenges when they are needed.

bellavistaman
02/04/2008, 12:26 PM
Gamble Healy Georgie Farrelly Darren Murphy they only need 3, 4 max, surely theres one we could get on loan for the season. Would be worth a phone call. But saying that im quite happy with what we got they showed their worth saturday.

to be fair to Kearney he did a good job against city, himself and Barrett handled supposedly 2 of the best midfielders in LOI fairly quiet, Gamble had a lot of ball but where was he going with it, around in circles. IMO i think they might now be adjusted to the pace

Why would you just come on here to give out? why do all threads have to turn in to someone slagging someone else off.

If you cannot take the critisisim of players dont come on to the forum people have bad games and people give there opinion which may not always be positive!!

Players have bad games as well as good games.
