Will Fletch be his first signing? How long will it be until half the first team squad is killed in a bus/plane crash

Have they not learned their lesson from Newcastle Utd. They were named after the team in the film GOAL! and its done them no good whatsoever.

"Fans have to accept that to have a professional club, it has to be done on a commercial basis and be profitable - Harchester is easier to promote than Mansfield. It is as simple as that."

John Batchelor

Fans don't have to accept anything. The guy hasn't a clue what motivates a fan.

Mr Batchelor - a 'massive Burnley fan' - also wants to set up an 'Anglo-European Cup' tournament in the summer involving Red Star Belgrade, Partisan Belgrade and local rivals Chesterfield.
The greatest derbies on either side of the Iron Curtain finally together at one venue.

Although, strictly speaking, Chesterfield and Mansfield are not a Derby - see here (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?t=86899) for definition

No, this appears to be real.

He would have to get the name change approved by the FA first. Which will either be much easier or much more difficult than you'd think...

Now that's a quote out of Dream Team if ever I've seen one:D

Hope the Mansfield fans vandalise his personal propoerty... not really my style but I like the idea of him crying over his scraped porsche:D

Really do feel for the fans though.

If he's looking to bask in the reflected glory of chav tv why not call the club Coronation Street Rovers? On longer, higher profile.
