The Clare League are considering putting a reserve league in place effectively putting all B teams in one league and allowing relatively free movement of players from A to B teams. A vote will take place on this on Monday.
There are obvious pro's and con's to it in terms of changing the status quo.
Have any of you out there experience of such a league and what would be the overall opinion on it?

I don't see how this is feasable at Junior level. Supposing there are 40 junior "A" teams in Clare with say 25 of those having "B" teams. Do the 40 teams get split into 3/4 divisons, then the 25 teams get split into 2/3 reserve team league divisions?

I think they did this in the Wexford league, it was only the teams in the premier division who had second teams in a reserve league. It wasn't a success and it's gone now.

i don't know what makes you think there will be a vote on this..chairman already stated that the committee will make the decision..
for the record there is 42 junior teams in clare of which 13 are b teams..
1 of these b teams is in 1st division and 4 in 2nd division..
So we are playing under a dictatorship now???? The information i have is that it is going to be discussed on Monday. Are your fellow club members on the b squad happy to play in a reserve league?
