I signed up for the free texts and got loads around the Cork game, including the score on time, but since then- nothing! Is it just me or is the service working?

yeah got loads at the start of the season, now its just about 1 a week. the last one was for the bus to tolka. they really should have sent a few about the legue cup match mite have got a bigger crowd.... and no goal updates from it either - the one time we actually score!!!!

I thought they would be sending score updates. Got them for the Cork game but nothing else other than a bus to Tolka. Not much of a service if that's all they are providing.

it seems like they are only sending the results of the games now, no team news, no reminders of the matches (not that i need it) or even the actual goal updates. fai decided its costing too much now?

Yes, it's a waste of time. If they can't provide a decent service it's no point in having it. It should be giving goal updates particulary for away games when most people don't go to.

I know that it is not perfect but I was in Portugal on the week-end that we played Galway and was just about to ring home for the score when i got 4 updates on the game including the final score.

We have been limited to sending these texts out lads, all clubs have. Soaring costs for the FAI is the reason. Final scores is what will be sent now and possible news about tickets, or away travel etc....

The service is completely 100% free and costs users absolutely nothing what so ever. If they do not wish to receive these texts then all you have to do is simply unsubscribe to the service, which again is 100% free of charge to do... OR if you know anyone who is interested in Bray Wanderers get them to sign up!

Away travel details were never sent via the text service. Defo wont be happening now with only a limit to about 3 texts per person per week now.
