Any chance a supporter from each club could put a link to where you could sign up to the free webtext alerts for the specific club. The FAI launched this at the start of the season, and its handy to find out the latest score from other games (especially Longford ;) ). Cheers

www.athlonetownfc.ie will get you ours. I will be starting score updates as soon as I get a volunteer for the job as I have too much to do match days as it is.

Every club that runs this should have on their own official site. Link seem waste of time.

Just subscribed to the lot although the Ramblers site is down.
Should be handy/ annoying Friday nights.
We'll see how it goes.

Dear sweet jebus! Your life will become the League of Ireland...
I get like a text every 2 days on average from the SRFC one.

Ya, left Bray, Galway, Sligo and UCD as i couldn't be bothered if they were just playing eachother.
It'd be good if they had a general latest score one sent at 30mins, HT, ten minutes to go and FT.
Is there a 13c one still advertised in the papers for this purpose?

Strikes me as a good idea until you're away in a country that the mobile network charges to receive texts in and its a particularly high scoring series of games. You could conceivably be hit for 50 euro.:D

I cannot see why it can't be done automatically for all clubs using a bit of easy software and www.clickatell.com. Just track changes in scores from aertel's online webpage and send texts accordingly. You probably could get it done in Pakistan for about €300 and it would cover all clubs - www.rentacoder.com

Getting text updates from Aertel would be like taking financial advice from someone like Jerome Kerviel or John Rusnack. Mostly it'd be good, but there'd be that occasion when Paul Doolin would relegate Derry by scoring an own goal for Cork in a tense 0-0 win at Buckley Park.

I would be very surprised if this service subsidised texts abroad. Most likely you will be charged as that is a network charge.

I get it on this side of the water for free! Granted that is on my London number, but never the less!

The club seems to be ringing anyone up who's number they have to get it put on. Is there a sweetner for every text they send from eircom? Are the other clubs doing the same?

Anyway Bluestexts (http://www.waterford-united.ie)can be got here.

Anyone a link for Wexford's? It doesn't seem to be on their site at all.

Not all clubs do the texts....Don't think Shels do either.
