Can anyone help us out -
Was telling a mate about an Irish Tv serial that was on about 5 years back, around the time Shameless first came out.
Set in a ficticous Midland town (think comparisons with Mullingar were made at the time), centered on 2 brothers living at home with widowed mother.
Were in Building trade one was bucking everything including a Garda's wife the other still to lose cherry. If memory correct opening scene to first episode brother about town was starting off working day paying homage to mother palm and 5 daughters over page 3.
Did he not have a distinctive knickname ?
Jog my memory and inform me of series name.
Did they ever do a second series ?

Fairly sure just a one season series. Was one of the better Irish dramas of recent years.

Garret lombard and Tom murphy where the brothers scobie and Tom o Donoghue. Unfortunetly Tom died last year of lymphatic cancer.

He was also in Man about dog , intermission and Adam and paul ( the shorter of the two ) One of my favourite irish actors.
