Was 800 and something. Can never remember the exact figure for some reason.

A good attendance considering it was the league cup.

A good attendance considering it was the league cup.

About 250 to 300 home fans. Cops and stewards would probably bring it to the 1,000. In all seriousness the amount of security was a tad OTT.

They must have read Lim till I die's (http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=903128&postcount=222) account of the Sporting vs. Limerick crowd.

They weren't schooligans, so to speak, just about 40 to 50 teenage tramps dressed in tracksuits. Didn't seem to cause any trouble.

Mulvenna deserved a hat-trick tonight, unfortunately he had to hobble off injured before the end. I'm looking forward to the next round; Shels, Bohs or Drogheda. :)

Just back. A very good performance by the Youths. Both sides had weakened teams out. Our lads showed some of the senior players how to play with composure as well as a bit of steel.

The team were absolutely Ken-ackered at the end. However, I would only expect one or two from tonight's team to be in the squad for the league team. All were either fringe or young players and it appeared to be the same with Ramblers.
Some of the senior squad watched on from the touchline and I hope they saw the effort these players put in
