the first two matches of the season don't paint a pretty picture
of things to come... the last gasp win over the funboys did nothing to
inspire the team and fans, but losing to the freshmen of the league is an
awful result no matter how you look at it...these two are possibly the worst the division has to offer and struggling the way we have shows
how bad things could get this year,,considering the pre-season the
players have had might be some kind of excuse but still two bad
performances and one horrible result

But this bit here shows a lack of understanding of the league.

Losing 1-0 away to Monaghan was far more shameful than losing 1-0 away to Fingal in my opinion.

Fingal (bad and all as they are) are by no means one of the two worst that the division has to offer.

I've actually managed to drag reasons for encouragement out of that disappointment last night.

It is impossible for me to emphasise just how much of the ball Limerick had last night. The problem at the moment is ultimately we have no way of using it.

I refuse to write off the year until such a time as Mike Kerley has a full squad available to him and I can see which way he chooses to use it.

A team of:

Ryan
Fogarty
Dannagher
Purcell
Gregg
Treacy
Barrett
Colbert
Cosgrove
McCarthy
Bruton

Which plays the way we played last night will cause lots of teams in this division problems.

played a few last year but a permanent step up is different,,,,?

Have you any idea of their budget and some of the players they have? obviously not, its a bad result from a horrible game, no more no less.

He looks a little slow at time but that aside I think he's shown that he's up to standard.
