sorry Paul, i just thought that the list was lifted from some website... i actually still do... a few weird tunes in there, some notable omissions too...

I have about 3 or 400 80's tunes I "acquired" over the years, thats the resulting text of a java program i wrote to read all files in a directory. It could well be on the internet too, if ppl have the same songs :D

Dunno if Midnight Oil are on your list but throw on 'Beds Are Burning'. And maybe some John Farnum - 'You're The Voice'.

I'd have some Talk Talk in there. Party's Over, Talk Talk, Today, It's My Life and the whole Colour of Spring Album.
Were Teardrop Explodes 79 or early 80s? Some of Julian Cope's solo stuff was great.
Pete Burns from Dead or Alive is a neighbour of mine in NW6 - I see him & his "husband" regularly. Bloody weird looking bloke!
