I have been playing for just over a year and I have 5 180's and about 40 140s.I had 3 180s in a week but then got bored and don't play much anymore. You go through phases of playing non stop and then you get bored.

I used to play pretty serious and would hit 180's most days. I used to love playing in the youth club on Friday nights with people watching just to see me do it. Twice qualified to play for Wexford U.18s in the national finals and had to go away on both occasions, so missed out as they won both all Ireland's. My Mam and Dad both played county darts for Wexford both ranked as high as 3rd in the county, my Da also made the last 16 of the Irish masters and should have beaten the legendary Jack McKenna that day.
Jack Murphy is my great uncle, for anyone who knows their Irish darts. I've been luck enough to play exhibition games with Alan Warriner and Ronnie Baxter and got some tips from Bob Anderson when I was about 12 or 13.

Oh and I just hung my dartboard in my house yesterday and hit a 140 with my second throw, so haven't totally lost it!

Have about 20 racked up so far. Have hit 5 of those in the last two weeks. Have been throwing quite a bit in the last 6 months and improving all the time.

I've only hit about 5 180's. I like playing but I've lost interest in the last while.

Love playing darts, in fact we were playing in competition last night and will be again on monday and the following friday.
180's would be norm, steady scoring is much better though. Steady 80+ scoring is usually pretty decent in our league, sometimes when you play county players you will have to up your game but generally its good craic.

Playing sports in the pub has to be the best thing in the world, some people actually get better the more p!ssed they get :p

Just downloaded this (http://www.nakka.com/soft/n01/index_eng.html) bit of software mentioned on this (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055009394) boards.ie thread. It looks very handy. Makes practising on your own a bit more interesting, you can set the level of your computer opponent, or use it to mark games if you have a real person to play with.

Got two 180s yesterday and had a 14 and a 15 dart finish. Not bad for someone who's hardly played in the last 5 years.

How does the software work?

Do all scores have to be put in manually?

yeah, you type in your scores and it automatically does the maths, its good but only works if your computer is in the room that you play darts in

Used it the other night or the first time. It's good, playing on level 4 against the computer and its fairly close, computer beat me 23-17 over 40 legs. I was surprised at how many 100+ scores I hit, 3 dart averaged around 65, too inconsistent.

I was playing in a fund raiser for the local convent once. Thought I was on for a decent score, hit a treble 20, single 20 then I slipped and the last dart hit Sister Assumpta in the neck, a sad day, but I was pleased with my score of one nun dead and eighty.

Yeah I've hit quite a few 180's but I'm not really a good player, except maybe for a 20 minute spell - also have spells of pure muck, missing by 10 inches muck. What's better than 180's are the 100+ checkouts.
That software thingy is good, I've had it for a while.
Without meaning to brag my Dad is pretty handy player, he might not play for ages and then pick up his darts and bangs in 180's and if I do manage to put in a few good legs against him his scoring just continues to rise. Expect him to consistently finish in under 20 darts when on form, around 15 darts usually, and sometimes 4 visits and this is without much or any practice - of course there are also times when his average darts per leg will be mid 20's.

Best leg I've managed was 16 darts
Best checkouts 148 and something else very similar (149 or 147 or something), just missed a 170.
Best run at a 9 darter - 5 perfect darts.
Most 180's in a day - 3 or 4
Favourite shot - curling or chipping the dart into a blocked treble 20 bed (great feeling :)).
