Fingal at evens is very tempting. Dundalk and Shels look like good odds too- might go for the same treble again. Probably go with a lucky 15 of some sort too.

My bets would be Cork, Harps, Shels and Sporting.

Derry look too big at 12/5 away to Cork. Cork havent started well, Derry are 2 from 2, dont see any reason why Cork should be a short as evens.

Derry haven't exactly covered theselves in glory though, two last minute winners in games they didn't deserve to win. Cork are a bit short alright, although I think home advantage will get them the draw. I'm staying away from that one anyway.

Just looks like value, I would have thought maybe 6/5 Cork 9/5 Derry 23/10 the draw.

Am trying to decide between Shels or Sporting Fingal.
Will probably end up backing both but have bad memories of Shels/Monaghan games from last year so Sporting looking favs for my few euro this week!

Yeah I'm staying away from the Shels game myself. Last season we played that shower 4 times. 2 defeats and 2 draws. We also got a hammering up there 4-0.

Drogheda, Pats and Harps for me, although UCD at 2/1 is not a bad price as they seem to be playing well and are coming off the back of a convincing 2-0 win over Bray, hopefullywe have enough in our locker for them :D

I've placed three bets for this weekend.
1.) handicap bet on Drogheda (-1)
2.) Sporting Fingal to beat Limerick, and
3.) Sligo to beat Bohs.

3/1 on Betfair. 5/2 with Celtic and Terry Rogers

Gone for a lucky31- Drogs, Pats, Rovers, Fingal and Shels. €1 per line pays back €140.
Also gone for a Rovers, Drogs, Pats treble to cover that- €10 pays back €33.10.
No prices stand out for me.

Do you not do the odds for a UK based company who are also evens Cork?!
I like the look of Dundalk at 9/5 away at Longford. I think they should be favourites.
Nothing else appeals to me this weekend.

On my way to Harps soon but Im not going to back them this year at all. I think that we will win 1 in every 3 matches at home so the odds should be over 2/1. We don't have a great side to be honest so I wouldn't go backing us. In saying that Im hoping for at least a draw tonight. Extremely windy so for once I think it will be a low scoring game.
Derry should lose, draw at best.
I think that either Shams or Pats or both can be turned over. Bad enough weather and Bray and Galway will be really up for those games, especially Bray. Both are around 1/2.
Drogs will have too much for Cobh.
I would stay away from Fingal as we have not seen enough of them. They are 11/8 on Betfair and they lost their first match 5-1. Certainly not sure.
So my bets would be lay both Derry, Pats and Shams.
Good Luck :)

Whats a lucky 31?
Same as a lucky 15, if you know what that is.
You make 5 selections; from those five there are 31 possible combinations- 5 singles, x doubles, x trebles, x four-way and 1 five-way. My stake was €31- €1 per line. Even if 3/5 win I still make a profit.
Just checked on PP and I got returns of €48.xx from €31. Also made profit on Drogs, Rovers, Pats treble so into three digits for profit for the season so far.:)

Monaghan is a tough place to go. The season we spent in that division we definitely dropped points at least once up there if not twice.
All this trebles and the likes is the quick way to the poor house. Pick 1 match that stands out and put your weekly stake on that. Never a massive return but miles more likely to make you money over the season.

We are so over rated it's unreal. I'm looking forward now to home teams being over priced against us from now on.

Oh good; you can pay off your gambling debts to me so.
Shels screwed me over at the weekend too. Was a last second decision to turn my quadruple into trebles, so at least I broke even with the other three.

Keely suggested before the game on Friday that he may be fielding a different side today, which could mean a run out for a few of the young lads in the squad. So I'll be taking the 2/1 on offer for a home win. I reckon the league cup will mean more to Fingal than our shower even though we could get a nice tie in the next round.

What taem are Fingal putting out? On the face of it, this looks as much a banker as Rovers v Drogs last year.

I think there's a difference between Shels playing fringe players against an average Division 1 side as opposed to Drogheda playing 17 year-olds against one of the top Premier Division sides.
James "1st teamer" Chambers has just equalised anyway!

Looks like you're right!
Though in my defence, all the talk in pre-season was of Shels not having much in the way of fringe players - strong first XVI was all they can afford (if indeed they can afford that).
