Great result. I believe we were lucky but who worries about these things. New team, top of the league still, no Roddy!. Happy days, hope we get a good crowd for Dundalk next Saturday. Easter Saturday, should be a few around.

From talking to Marty, ye were lucky to get the point but who cares. Two great results for ye so far, top of the league and it sets ye up nicely for the Dundalk game, which will be difficult.

Just back from Waterford. We looked extremely shakey in the first half and at times our defending was comical,we did not look like half the team we were last week.Casey at left back is a very week point for us,he must have given away 15 balls in the first half as well as cross it into our own box twice????Waterford had by far more quality then us but in fairness to the lads they kept plugging away at it and grew in confidence through the game. All though I would say that Waterford were the better team,I would say over the course of the 90 mins we both had an equal amount of chances and i'd say the possession was equal enough. To get anything Waterford never mind on a wet foggy night after making the long trip is very positive.I don't believe that we have as good a quality a squad as some other teams but I believe that what this team lack in quality it makes up for in heart and passion and thats great to see.Davoren is a real star and ran most of our attacking plays.Just wondering where was Gary Murphy tonight? We really needed a playmaker in midfield.

About 30-40 town fans down there trying to be as vocal as possible.Hears to Dundalk onn Saturday!

Still.......

TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!

I was kind of expecting to lose that one. Waterford will be very strong, they're basically the same squad as last year. Mistakes are bound to happen in these first few games, the players are still getting used to each other but I'd trust Aaron and Vinny to get them organised. As long as they show heart and commitment, we'll do alright this year. There's probably better sides in the division but if we can be competitive I'll be happy enough.

i echo boscos comments on the majority of the showing in the game waterford definitely deserved to win.. but I thought the turning point in the game was vinny perths two substitutions.... kelchs peno was top drawer..

we were buzzin at half time when we heard roddys comments on the takeover on rte..

wonderful to see us top of the table after two games. one big quality is perservance and thats what vinny and aaron had in their career...

A question: Were ye allowed to bring in all of your flags at Waterford

Who's your centre-halves apart from Frawley? Is Davoren being used as a striker? And who was your captain last year? :)

Well Andy Bermingham played the first match but I think he has an injury. Colin Murray played against Waterford, he's a son of the former Dundalk manager Martin Murray seemingly. Damien Brennan was captain last year.
