UL won this seasons Harding Cup and are in Collingwood Cup final. There used to be good link between the clubs, Oran weldrick, conor molan, paul dannaher...
Is anything being done at the minute to forge better links? There must be interesting players there that'd love a run at eircom 1st division?

Good Idea. :ball:
Add Derek McCarthy, Darren Harrington to that list aswell.
They were using UL for pre-season training this year so im sure there are good links there. Soccer is very strong out in UL at the moment so it sure wouldnt do any harm to build up good links again. Theres a lot of good players from outside of Limerick playing out there aswell

Unfortunately Limerick 37 do not pay well enough so education is the way forward for Derek to get a job etc..

Now if he was playing for one of those junior clubs that are bankrolled by a russian billionaire on the other hand... :D
Of course Derek has to get a job, he's playing with a part-time club. Limerick 37 are hardly alone in this (add the First Division and about half the premier to that list).

Rubbish! the dole and his wages form the club would match most public sector jobs. :p:p

Everyone knows Derek plays for Limerick for free
In fact when we're hard up (give it six weeks), he often pays us for the priveledge

UL were beaten today in the Collingwood Cup Final, 2-1 by UUJ. After taking the lead, they were pegged back shortly before half-time and conceded what proved to be the winner with ten minutes left. Were unlucky not to take the game to extra-time, but UUJ are a strong side with a number of players playing with Portadown and Institute.
A Harrington fella came on as a sub as did Manjor who was getting slated in another thread. In fairness, looked lively enough and created 3 chances for his team. But this is the only time I've seen him.
