don't think there is an open source product that can read .pub files, there is a slight workaround here though: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=411085

You could convert the publisher file to a word document(doc, html, odt, pcx, pdf, png, ps, rtf, or txt) using Zamzar. (http://foot.ie/www.zamzar.com) You could then edit it and convert it back to a Publisher file
