McGrenaghan back for Harps

Finn Harps midfielder Paddy McGrenaghan returns to Jonathan Speak’s squad for the meeting with dogged Dundalk at Finn Park this evening (kick-off: 8.00pm).

Talismanic McGrenaghan has missed Harps’ two most recent outings, one of which resulted in the Donegal men’s solitary defeat of the season to date, a 1-0 reverse in Cobh 16 days ago.

However, striker Damien Whitehead is still unavailable for Harps, so Niall Bonner could continue up front alongside star man Kevin McHugh.

McHugh, with five goals to his name this season, has failed to hit the real heights which he is capable of, but with his side a point clear at the top of the table already, any improvement in his form could be bad news for the rest of the chasing pack.

Dundalk have drawn eight of their eleven games in the First Division to date, but are unbeaten in nine games since April, and are sure to set a stiff test for the league leaders.

Trevor Anderson may be without the services of three men for the trip to Ballybofey. Midfielders Shane Reddish and Chris Lawless are rated doubtful, while Paul Byrne – who has been linked with a move to Carlisle United – may also be unavailable.
