Blues seek O’Neill replacement
Waterford United manager Jimmy McGeough will step up his chase for a striker following the shock decision by key front man Gary O’Neill to quit the game this week.
O’Neill, 21, drew a line under his time at the club and - it seems - in soccer in general when he called McGeough to announce his decision on Monday.

And now McGeough, who had been on the look-out for a striker in any case, is keen on wrapping up a deal to bring a marksman to Suirside in the near future.
St Patrick’s Athletic pair Michael Holt and, more likely, Liam George would appear to be McGeough’s principal targets at the moment.
McGeough admitted he would like to bring the former Luton Town and Irish underage star to the RSC: "Liam was interested in Waterford earlier in the year, but we were too late. Maybe we can pick up where we left off."
