Nigel is an honest professional who will do a job for Athlone.

The other players have not played one minute between them at Eircom League level. A lot to prove, although a stint in the First Divsion will do them no harm.

Tommy walshe is the best young centre half in galway soccer,it's a sin they let him go,tommy's a far better player than young sinnott who they kept on in his position,,tommy can also play left full and centre mid,i think given a chance he would do very well 4 athlone,john egan has alot of potential,might not be ready just yet but he has a bright future,i don't think young dowling will make it average enough i think.haven't seen nigel play in over a year but i'm sure he would still be a good asset in the 1st division.
