Whats it like though? Is it positive or pandering?

They have had articles on the eL for at least last 3-4 years.

But only two pages, from what i've seen anyway.

What about saving the Amazon Rainforest rather than wasting paper on tat. Can't see this going down well with the away support, another shrewd move by the FAI to unsettle the Brazilian camp.

Tat? The national team don't deserve their column inches / share of the rainforest at the moment really either do they? Drogheda United made a better fist of beating a San Marinese Team home and away than the national team.

Not pandering - pretty superficial alright but just looking at basics of setanta cup and looking into the 2008 season - menitons return of Fenlon Byrne Kenny etc.

Was at Slovakia game and don't remember seeing any mention of El all night long including in prog. Open to correction on that though!

Did notice that they have a picture of Si Webb and Brian Shelley - caption reads "... celebrating in 2007" but you can clearly see Setanta Cup 06 on their jerseys. Better than nought but attention to detail or even having enough interest in the league to recognise the national champions current jerseys is a still a little but too much to ask for, obviously.

But ultimately got a worse result. :D

Or maybe - just maybe - it's got something to do with the FAI lifting their game recently due to Platinum One giving them some competition for a change....?

Nahhhh - the FAI would never act so cynically, would they.....?

I dont care how they act just as long as they act, and act now. We want change and now is the time to do it.

Agreed, to an extent.

Because if they are acting out of fear rather than conviction, just don't be surprised if they reign their interest back-in once the competition goes.

We don't need a knee-jerk, piece-meal approach towards the promotion and development of our league. A consistent, well-considered, and budgeted plan would be preferable - none of which we have heard of from the FAI.
