View Full Version : John Tierney
Looks like he's on his way to us.
Any good? Did he get many goals for you last season?

Very good signing,he scored about 8 goals, played only half the season, and is only 19. Massive potential.

5 league goals and 2 cup goals in 18 and 3 appearances respectively.
A few of them were penalties,
nevertheless he's an exciting player and will be missed if he has left us.

He'll cost ye by the way.....and I doubt he'll cost ye because I doubt he'll be signing....
If the chimp (ski) told ye that he's signing, then I'd certainly say he wasn't....
Clubs in England interested in him too...

He's been training with Cork and wants to go. Can't say I'd blame him even if he probably will end up playing in the 'A' Championship for the most part this season. Given that we have a fog of mystery surrounding our manager and the bare bones of a team sorted he'd be better off.

you support limerick yea??? if hes training with cork then that means hes doing so illegally and cork are in contact with him illegally. If he wants to go or his agent/dad is pushing him in that direction then so be it but he wont get a cut of any transfer fee.

It probably shocks you to know that it's possible to support a club without endorsing the perpetual dedication to mediocrity that Limerick football seems to aspire to. Our team (such as it exists at the moment) are going to have a fairly lethargic pre-season from the looks of things. I always find that apologism is fairly sad tbh.
If Tierney is really training illegally in Cork (and he is, I've had it confimed by people who've watched him) then it's another sign at how clueless our club is that he's been getting away with. And of course, as the club have always read this website they'll now doubtless follow up on this and all will be resolved. Unless of course there's some reason that his contract doesn't prevent him from walking away...
