Rushie is a legend in Athlone even though he is small he will make up for it with his heart. I wish we could have signed him again

Iarliath Davoren will give you 100% every game he plays but it is a few seasons since he played for us and he was a bit light back then. You would be better of asking the Galway lads for more recent information

Davoren is poor, never quite been good enough.

I grant you I've only seen him play about half dozen times but there you go :)

He puts his heart into it but you cant help but wonder if a big gust of wind cut
across the pitch, Iarflaith would be sent flying high over the stand and far, far away.

Rushie is a decent player who also gives his all. He spoke to Athlone and
Longford and preferred what he heard from Aaron about the plans for
the season.

chuffed that we got damien rushe he has being with ye guys a long time... rushe and davoren would have played under aaron at athlone i assume.. i assume that there will be more signings from yer club..

this reminds me of our squad from 1988 that got to the fai cup semis we had more players from athlone than longford!

Are things that Bad in Athlone? Hopefully ye will sort it out by Thursday Limerick are still in freefall as well despite Delaneys dealings. The way things are going Salthill & Mervue will end up in the first division

Apart from the on/off Ronan Frawley saga I wouldnt be so sure!
We had 1st training session last night and there were a few surprises in
attendence. Looks like some players want to prove a point after last years
"performances"
