A Championship

Earlier this year there were talks about a third level in Irish Eircom Football. The so called A-Championship.

New clubs, second teams of Premier clubs and clubs from lower leagues would all be in this division to let the Irish pyramid look more solid.

What in this story will go ahead?

Is the A Championship still on? And if so who will play in it.

We at www.soccerway.com want to cover it so we need to know soon if it also will be a summer league.

It appears likely to go ahead. Mervue, Salthill and Tullamore will compete in it with the reserve sides, while Sporting Fingal have been offered Kilkenny's place in D1.
