The 20-year-old Irish international will join his new team-mates for training tomorrow and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game at Plymouth.

will O'Halloran ever break through? He's been on the fringes for ages it seems.

Im sure he will break through at Villa, O'Neill rates him highly and Bouma is only a short termer for that position. He was only allowed on a months loan because O'Neill thinks he might be needed later

We're in desperate need for a left-full so here's hoping he gets a good run of first team football.

It would be fantastic if he could make the breakthrough for next campaign.

I know that may sound a bit early, but I say if they're good enough they're old enough.

He looked impressive in the US, and I also caught him in a pre-season match for Villa and he looked good.

O'Neill is a good judge of talent, and I'm sure he'll break through within the year.

Martin O'Neill not a bit happy about the treatment stephen is getting at southampton, wouldnt be surprised if O'Neill pulled the plug on the deal and sent stephen elsewhere.

Didn't appear today again for Southampton, the loan deal is up in 2 weeks anyway

Burley left as soon as he signed O'Halloran on loan. Not much that can be done about that.

His omission is all the stranger following this preview for the Palace game on Southampton's website: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=9673

Stephen O'Halloran is on standby to make his first Saints start in a re-shuffled side at Crystal Palace tomorrow.

And Gregory Vignal broke an arm which could hand a first full game to O'Halloran since he joined on loan from Aston Villa.
The Irish international came off the bench for the final quarter of Tuesday's game and then got 90 minutes under his belt for the reserves the following day.
