Anyone else think there should be a logo for the Boys in Green and the supporters?
I'm not a big fan of using the FAI logo because I don't much like the actual association but when using a logo for my Ireland stuff (things like videos, avatars, etc.) I have no better alternative besides perhaps the tri-color. I don't have photoshop or anything but perhaps someone who does could design something?

Excellent idea. Have thought of this plenty of times myself and always came back to the stereotype of the harp or the shamrock. Any ideas yourself?

I was thinking sort of a plain design like the below with a green, white, and orange guy kicking a ball or something and Boys in Green (unless you can think of something better...I've seen ROIMNT once or twice but I don't like that much) or something like that written
The first is the logo of a site I run (the logo isn't owned by me, though I could probably get rights) the 2nd is a VERY rough idea of what I thought up today in school (done in Paint no less). I have an idea for a badge instead that I will try to sketch up as well

theworm: i think your logo idea would be good,if incredibly generic, without the pitch and text

It would be very generic though perhaps I will incorporate that in to the badge/crest I am thinking of (I dont even really have too much of an idea yet.

What does "not right" mean?
Registration of this Trade Mark gives not right to exclusive use of:
the words 'BOYS IN GREEN'
That means we can use it? or not?
BTW check over at YBIG and see just how much work has gone into

I'd imagine thats a typing error. "no right to exclusive use of" makes more sense.
What it means is you can't register the name " boys in Green" . the FAI have a trademark on their logo as shown, with the words, "boy's in Green" under it. Its the combination of the two thats the trademark.

No, but the logo still can have "Boys in Green" in it

Yes anyone can have a logo with the words" boy's in green". on it. its the combination of a logo or style rather than the actual words , that can be registered.

Why did he bring it up and say that we had done no work if he didnt think there was a problem. It really doesn't matter at this point.
I made this...it was popular over at YBIG

Very good work Worm....the only thing I'd say is maybe take the tricolour out of the "The boys in green".

Why did he bring it up and say that we had done no work if he didnt think there was a problem. He was posting the FAI effort out of interest, and his criticism was for the FAI's version I think; I.E. that they had just stuck "boys in green" under the proper crest in the default font of microsoft paint.

A new design, relatively simple...used a free football image from Wikipedia and added the irish stuff. I was thinking of putting a fan with a scarf (just me with my body and arms turned black or something and real scarf) under the letters.
