Lads, Just heard from a friend of one of the players that cookie has signed Alan Moore (Derry City)on a pay as you play deal for the coming season. Great signing imo will add some quality, experience and depth to the squad. What are you thoughts?

Good player if a trifle injury prone (euphanism for crocked)

Going to move to Sligo is he? Hopefully if he has signed on the basis that it is a pay as you play contract or we mighn't actually see him in a red shirt!

its similar to the Kevin Julian contract really, he signed for us on what was called a pay-per view contract(almost like pay-per play) , he got his normal wages, and he was to be payed €22.95 by each player in the squad, plus managment team and commitee members for every appearance he made as it was such high standard of football, thats why he only played one competitive match.

I hope this is true. Moore is a fine player, excellent quality. The last time Shels played in the showgies, he came of the bench and was different class.

An injury free Alan Moore would be an asset to us. If this is the type of quality Cookie is looking for, then it looks good for next season.

A good manager sees qualities in a player and helps to bring it out of him.

true, its a good signing really, we dont have many old heads in the squad, we dont have any at all over 30 actually so thats always a welcome addition to have a bit of experience around the young lads, hes also won the league, more than any other rovers player has done so its a good signing, IF TRUE
