If anyone sees good odds on a sporting event, perhaps they could post here.

I see Everton are 22-1 for the FA Cup. Might be worth a tenner.

Is that not what the Betting sub-forum is for??

Humble apologies. Never noticed it all this time.

Since the Premiership was introduced only once has a team outside of the top clubs won the FA Cup. I can't see it being outside Man Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea.

So you don't fancy Villa, Burnley and QPR for a treble tomorrow then? :D

I want some tips that will increase my odds of killing them. So far my mousetraps have about a 7/1 success rate.
I feel more on thread topic now :)

Lesscott to score first for Everton is allways worth a pop he is about 30-1 most weeks has 6 goals 4 or 5 which have been the first i think . I stick a fiver on him every week and ive won over 500 euro on him this season.

The only week i missed was this sat just gone and guess what he did !!!! :(

Mitt Romney is overpriced to win the GOP nomination - about 3/1 you should get - too hgih and likely to come down

Hiroshima Sanfrecce to be promoted from J2 to J1. No idea if prices will be available anywhere in Ireland, and if they are, they'll be short. But it's a sure thing!

(This is a serious post, btw!)

I've placed a small bet on a 0:0 result in the Tunisia/Angola game (4.5 odds with bwin). Both teams are through to the next round with a draw so I think it's worth a shot.

When will people realise there is NO SUCH TIHNG as a guaranteed winner, if there was, there would be no bookies left in the world.

Paddypower.com's odds are notoriously poor, but their half-time/full-times are always worth a look. I had France HT/Chile FT at 85-1 in the Under-20 game tonight (only 60c, I'm not much of a gambler.) France 2-1 at HT, Chile won 5-3 with two late goals, picked up almost €50 off it. They tend to be very generous as Paddy Power odds go for an outcome which isn't all that rare. Keep an eye out for them.

Big Noise at Newmarket tomorrow. Has the makings of a very good horse and had a good season last year. Won't be a big price but should get around 9/4 I'm told.

So which is it?!?!

I'm not sure about notoriously poor - in comparison to who?! PP are more competitive than any of the major English high street firms (Lads, Hills & Corals)

True, Ladbrokes are p!ss poor compared to most others whenever I bother to compare.

No I'm always a bit wary when it's their first run of the season but I'd be lying if I said if I was a big gambler anyway. I expect to lose every bet I place, that way I'm never disappointed :D

2 points clear with a game in hand!!!

You can get j-league odds on paddy power I think. I'd open an online account but my Japanese bank doesn't allow it.

I fancy I could actually make a few quid off them on something as obscure as the j-league.

I should've posted this up long ago but anyone who is interested in medium-term bets, I believe that @ 9/2 (only with PP) that in the athletics section, Irish specials, Paul Hession to make the 200m final in the Olympics is great value.

I posted up in the Other sports section why I believe he will do it. I believe that realistically the odds should be around 6/4. He ran disappointingly last year in the worlds and finished 12th (only 4 places off a final place), and this year I believe he has improved enough to ease in to that 8 with his supere early season performances.

He has already come in from 10/1 so get in soon!
