Not sure if this was a repeat but I caught it over Christmas. A panel of 8 (Magee, Hand, Coughlan, Delaney, two GAA guys, a horse racing commentator (Walsh?), and a rugby chap ) nominated them and the viewers voted on them.

Lots of GAA moments and only 3 soccer ones. Disappointed the Rovers 6 in a row cups wasn't mentioned or the cricket team ;) but for the record the soccer ones were No. 30 (Don Givens hat trick against the USSR), No. 5 (England 0 Ireland 1 at Stuttgart) and No. 1 (Genoa - penalty shoot out vs Romania).

Also featured in the Top 30 Dawn Run, Arkle, Coughlan, Smith, Delaney, Roche, Kelly, O'Sullivan. Harrington, McGuigan, Carruth, Denis Taylor (no Ken Doherty), O'Connor Jnr and then GAA stuff.

Forgot to mention Croke Park rugby thing was No 2. Didn't do anything for me I have to say. I always thought the ban was pathetic. No mention either of Ginger McLaughlin's try at Twickers or our win over the Italians in 1994. Special Olympics at Croker came No 4 I think.

Didn't see this program, but I read the list in the paper.

Sean Kelly's dominance of cycling is down as a great "moment". How is a period of time the same as a "moment"? A bit stupid if you ask me. And it wasn't the only period down as a moment.

Special olympics coming to Ireland and Ireland beating a poor England in Croke park didn't do it for me either.

I thought the best bit was Mick Galwey commenting on Munster's Heineken Cup win. He was very dignified about his Biarritz comments until he takes a long pause and ends by saying f... them :D

Opps. Sorry, forgot the Munster rugby win. Provinces against club sides. That one didn't excite me too much either despite my Munster connections on the maternal side ;) They also included the Munster win over the All Blacks.
