About bloomin' time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just about deserved it. Cawley with the first - a deflected free-kick. He's been threatening to do that for a while (having one deflected onto the angle in Longford), although Aberdonian Stu claims the credit for calling Shay Kelly a Judas just as the free was being taken - apparently, Kelly turned around for a split second. But then Aberdonian Stu is prone to his exaggerations!;) Either way, with the deflection, Kelly would have been doing very well to get to it.
Nearly went 2-0 a couple of minutes later - great play and suddenly Johnny Martin was free in the area - drove his shot against the bar.
Bohs equalised on the hour through a random series of deflections, for which Fergal Harkin claimed credit. But a master substitution from Doolo involving bringing Niall "Donkey" Donnelly onto the left wing paid off with the winner on 80 minutes. A long throw from Robbie Mac was allowed to bounce, and Donnelly was onto it in a flash - only to fall over on his arse after completely missing his kick from 6 yards. While the Bohs players laughed, and ours appealed for a penalty, only Tony Mac kept his head to force home the loose ball.
Best performers - Robbie Mac (again); Cawley (again); Jennings (some brilliant saves - not completely convincing yet, but much improved from the start of the season).
But we took it down, played it around and got what we deserved. All we have to do is the same for the next 26 matches and we'll be grand!!!
COME ON THE COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
