Monaghan United manager Mick Cooke confirmed today that former Shamrock Rovers footballer Philip Sheppard has signed on the dotted line. Sheppard had agreed terms last week but there was some speculation that he may not sign. This has been put to bed as “Shep” put ink to paper today.
Sheppard joins the growing list of United players for the 2008 season with Robbie Collins and Brian Gartland the other players to have opted to play for Mons this week.

Did he not play at Dublin City when they got promoted? Really have to make time for proper research!
no we signed him from schoolboy football (Cherry Orchard) and played a few times for us. he spent his loan spell with yourselves and then signed for ROvers. Who then released him back into junior ball

Pretty sure he had a successful loan spell with Kilkenny City under Scully that season they shot up the table after a poor start.

I was sure that Mulcahy had signed, he just changed his mind. As for Luke and Shep I never said they had signed!
