What ever happend to Decklan Roche?

Anybody ever know what became of Declan Roche? Last time I remember him was in the League winning side. If my memory is correct we signed him from Celtic? Used to play midfield with McCabe, Buckley and Glynn?!

Think went on tp play for $hels, then someone else (maybe Dundalk?) & last I heard (many years ago) think playing non-league somewhere in Dublin. Think he even played for the irish amateur XI?

Declan Roche went to Partick Thistle after leaving Celtic. He signed three different times for City AFAIK!
Last I heard he was playing with Portmarnock. Good player with a career destroyed (almost) by off-field problems that we don't really need to get into here. People's private lives should not be discussed on the net?

He was quite good anytime I saw him play, but then again, playing with Buckley and McCabe would help anybody! Had a great shot if as I recall, think he scored a scorcher against Derry or Sligo, keeper had no chance.

Dec Roche Played for the Irish junior team a couple of years ago in some tournament or other might even have been captain. When he last left City I think he was signed by Monaghan by then manager Billy Bagster
