Tad bit early for a bet considering the player and manager merry-go-round is still in full swing but what are people's initial thoughts? Derry @ 6s for an each way bet?

how the hell are we that price.... i remember there was a crazy price on us last yr too of something like 80/1, we were in or around same price as Sligo!!. id only take a punt on us at 80/1+ as its obvioulsy only going to be an each-way chance!

Might have been wearing the maroon glasses when he came up with those odds;).

Lot bigger spread than in recent years - we've never been 250-1 for the title before, and I think the most anyone's been in recent years is about 100s?

Nothing appeals. I@d back pats at around the 5s mark. Not at 7/2

Drogheda obviously strong favourites

Probably true but with most of the top clubs properly full time I think UCD have no chance of winning the league. Would you back UCD at 250/1?

Whats the reasoning behind giving your lads lower odds than us JC?

I think we'll finish above you. :)

I wouldn't back Galway at 250/1.

I wouldn't back us at 66/1 either. The lower odds are irrelevant from a practical ponit of view, but it's just interesting that this is the first time the bookies reckon the league is really spread out.

Any chance of one of them bets where there's a handicap system so that all the clubs have the same odds?

Ah go on.

Ladrokes did that last year

I'll see what I can do lads but promise nothing! ;)

It will probably be February or so if done at all.

When will odds on top scorer be available?

CollegeTillIDie

Given the loss of experienced players at Belfield during the close season so far we should be 300/1!

Won't be for a while. If either Noel Hunt or Jason Byrne join any of the top 3/4 sides they'd have a huge impact on the market

Exactly Dodge,
It will again probably be February before there are any other markets available. There are so many potential signings it would be stupid to have odds on top scorer. I'll also try to price up season match bets and relegation in the new year.

From a bookmakers perspective the eL has really grown over the last couple of season with more live TV games and the fact that there is very little other football on Friday nights.

Aye,

Was surprised after they got hammered from giving City +24 one year. That paid for a European trip or two......

Surprised Pats so close to Drogs in the betting. Drogs improved squad & manager.

Not at the moment but you will usually be able find better odds than Paddy Power once they are available.

My Odds would be:

Drogs 9/4
Bohs 9/4
Pats 7/2
Cork 5/1
Shams 5/1
Derry 15/2

Relegation
Cobh 4/11
Finn Harps 4/5
UCD 6/4
Galway United 5/2
Bray W 10/3

By the way I think Cork could be the value bet now that Bohs' odds have been slashed. Cork are an unknown outfit and don't write them off. Bohs would be my own at decent odds.
