Good post Neil!
first half of the Liverpool Man Untied game has been woeful. Lack of imagination. Although Evra is a quality player, links well with Giggs. How is Kewell still with a premier league club?

Anderson has be the one that has impressed me most. Only 19 too.

Quality player. He can be a bit wasteful in possession but he's hardly the finished product. Ferguson said that he has the potential to be the best midfielder he has ever worked with.
Shocking defending by Liverpool for the goal. Gerrard and Torres shown up for the overrated players that they are.
Vidic and Ferdinand- immense as usual.

Liverpool midfield was clueless, to have that much of the ball and not do anything with it is shocking. Kewell is a rubbish player, Babel offered more in the 20 mins he was on the pitch. Ferdinand and Vidic are a great partnership.
Why can't the build Old Trafford in Dublin:)
Wasn't a fair fight - Benitez insisted on handicapping Liverpool to 10 men by picking Kuyt.
He's only good enough to score against the likes of Everton...just.

agree 100% i think kuyt is massively overrated, his touch is shocking and he cant pick a pass, if i was playing for liverpool i would run around and work hard as well, it wouldnt make me any good!! vidic is an unbelievable player, nothing fancy just a quality out and out defender

Both poor games in my view. Looks like Terry got a bit of his own medicine. Jaimie Redknapp should really just **** off. Guillit is getting frustrated having to listen the fool beside him.

I'm on FSC in the US and got Robbie Earle and some other clown, with a voice over half time! And would get to look forward to a fake british pub debate with toss pot americans. Thank god for american football ;)

Liverpool were dreadful and I was really disappointed in Torres' contribution. Gerrard? Didn't even notice he was playing until his persistence with 35 yard efforts. I thought Vidic, Anderson and Evra had good games but the overall quality as a spectacle was below par.
Arsenal played some nice stuff at times today and I am really surprised there wasn't a red card. How many yellows did the ref end up showing?

Interesting to see that since August 2004 the big 4 have played 21 times against each other. The table is this:
1 Man Utd 38pts
2 Chelsea 37pts
3 Arsenal 26pts
4 L'pool 15pts
Never realised Liverpool's record against the top 3 was so bad.

He has the first touch that a wall would be ashamed of. It's really embarrassing at this stage. At least Voronin was free
Most of those points I'd guess are at home too Dman....and they've to play all three away yet.

I actually thought it was even worse. I usually go down to the local for liverpool's games against the top 3 and they never seem to when i'm there!

i thought it was a decent game today at anfield. united back 4 were very good, i really hope we can sort something out with wes brown, hes quality imo. although im not sure anyone else here thinks the same! liverpool were restricted to about 10 long range shots or more, all of them going high and wide. they didnt really look like scoring other than the chance or two in the 1st half where van der sar fell!
a win is a win, no matter how good or bad a game is, and united march on, it was a very big 3 points!
cole and fabgregas should both have been sent off aswell today, terrible tackle from fabregas, and cole hit him in the face. didnt think that was a great game, once Terry went off the bight seemed to leave the game

watched the 1st half up town, was so ******ed though from last night i couldnt bare to stand for the 2nd half aswell!.
its a shame all these great supporters couldnt be arsed to spend there money on GUFC jerseys instead and go up the dyke road instead of chanting songs at a telly in a pub for a teams whos local fans wouldnt know where galway even is!!

Watched some of Liv vs Man U but started to fall asleep and went over to Iverness vs Celtic on Setanta. Much more entertaining game. Liverpool badly need some width and Kewell isn't the answer.
Arsenal vs Chelsea was a better quality game but didn't really ignite until the last 20 minutes. I enjoyed the last 20.

Agree about Rednapp.Terry had gone over the top on two occasians before Eboue(who can be dirty) too him out.Guillit had to remind Jamie of this point.
Thought the second half was thrilling stuff tbh with Arsenal cutting them up on the counter.
Liverpool-Man U was dreadful. In fairness to Man U they were the away team and Anderson looks like he is going to be a hell of a player.Liverpool were so bad in the last third it beggared belief.I was watching it with two Liverpool fans and they never want to see Kuyt or Kewell in a Liverpool shirt again.
They kept punting the ball down the middle which meant Ferdinand and Vidic were 'nt turned around the whole second half.Benitez has a knack of coming up with the trophies but surley patience will start to wear thin if they dont improve.

Didn't see Liverpool game.
Arsenal played lovely football at times throughout the game, not just on the counter in the second half. The first 30 minutes was impressive and would have opened up less organised teams than Chelsea. Chelsea's resonse to going a goal down was good but both teams were careless in their passing in the second half. Chelsea could have equalised but Arsenal should have made one of their counter attacks pay off.
Why can't they build the new Lansdowne Road in London?

Was at the game and Arsenal do play lovely football but their tendency on at least 5 occasions to walk the ball ino the net will cost them especially in Europe. Van Persie to be fair does not seem afraid to shoot. The Arsenal fans were getting very frustrated with this and Chelsea should/could have grapped an equaliser.
Didnt see all the pool/manu but it was typical fare between the two teams. Tevez right place right time and unmarked.

I agree. Didn't have a good game yesterday though. Perfect that we have a ready made successor to Gary Neville. If he is contract offer is less than what other top players are earning then he has a right to be annoyed imo.

Liverpool were poor, but Gerard was far from the worst. I accept he has major faults in his game, but going missing in big games is not one of them, at least not for Liverpool. I though he did ok yesterday overall, and his tackling was excellent, you have convientley failed to remember his two defensive tackles on Anderson in the first half and Rooney in the second. I can accept he can be a selfish and frustrating player sometimes, that people love to hate, but if Paul McGrath or Paulo Maldini made them challenges, they'd be considered world class challenges.

To be honest, I thought that was exactly what he did yesterday.
Although, compared to Lampard in the later game, he had a masterful performance. Lampard barely touched the ball in the second half.

And every other time he's played against Man Utd. For someone that's supposed to have a team built around him he doesn't do much.
Lampard is the most overrated player in the world. Granted he is an effective player when playing in a team that hoofs the ball up to a target man which gives him chances to run on to. However when Chelsea are without Drogba, like yesterday, they are effectively playing with ten men. I can think of about a dozen midfielders better than him in the Premiership.
