Gran Canaria tournament

I'm looking for info on the tournament that was played in Gran Canaria in the mid-nineties. IIRC, it was invitational and played in late January/early Feb. It was always shown on Eurosport. It included teams from Scandinavia (I definitely remember Rosenborg and Brondby playing in it) and teams from countries that had winter breaks.

Can't find anything about it on RSSSF, Eurosport or Wikipedia.

Any help would be appreciated?

It's called the Maspalomas Tournament, Shels played in it in the eighties.
