Looks like some managers are doing their jobs....

Monaghan United manager Mick Cooke confirmed today that he has signed Alan Mulchay from Waterford United and Brendan Kennedy formerly Kildare County. “I am delighted to be able to bring in Alan Mulcahy and Brendan Kennedy to add to the squad. I was given the go ahead to start signing players some weeks back and have been working on bringing in some quality to add to the great squad I have.” Mick Cooke stated today.

Lets hope to see some proactive comments from our manager very soon. Like the retention of Kevin Waters, and a few other signings to go with it maybe? His budget may or may not be slashed, who really knows? But as manager, he needs to get his butt in gear, and soon!

Keeper Davy Ryan or balding striker Davy Ryan?? :)

Sugrue, O'Mahoney and Conway the elder I presume??

Since when is money no longer an object to them?

Couldn't see Carthy leaving.

Went there before and did nothing.

Purcell, it depends - he did well when he was there and their budget is probably bigger than ours.

I'd be shocked if Blondie stayed with us tbh :(

Kelleher is re-signing in July

How is his Fairview 6 month fitness camp going?? :p

Ya I know he played seniors all year (not the balding one) but I didnt realise he was under21s as well though.

No id say he (balding one) could be underage again this year. As far as I know he is not 21 yet.

McCarthy, Sugrue and Conway the younger, which older might follow id rate David ahead of alot of midfeilders the past season.

I think the bigger the squad the more competition which can only be good for the new season ahead.

I'd happily take them all as squad players.

Aslong as the wages are reasonable

Wages shouldnt matter if they wanna play LOI and improve themselves as players IMO

With kerry pulling out which i think was kerrys last chance of joining for a long time, i dont think the players are in a position to ask for anything more than what they will get offered.

And I'll believe it when I see it.

Sigh, and to think I remember young O'Mahony turning down an Ireland call up to play in Derry

:0 i never knew that! He also turned down a moce to crystal palace when he was younger.... he was a very promising young player and stil could be in LOI if things didnt go to his head.
