All eircom League clubs have entered the u21 League this season, with the exception of Kilkenny City and they will be joined by Peake Villa (Thurles), University of Limerick, Mervue (Galway), Salthill Devon (Galway), NUI Galway, Mullingar Town and Dublin University.

Last year the league was ran in three regional groups, but with the addition of a number of new sides it may switch to a four group competition with sides playing each other four times. Last season St. Pat's became the first team to lift the Dr. Tony O'Neill Perpetual Trophy. This season who knows what team will lift the silverware?

Check out the u-21 website (http://www.maths.tcd.ie/~cannyjf/U21/index.html) for details of last years competition.

Looks like 4 groups otherwise City would have a massive amount of travelling.

JC's site is actually now 100% dead... I've taken over from him, with his agreement.

If you want to help out, mail me at paddyreilly99@yahoo.com, cos I'm only a student, and I'm gonna need some help in getting results!

Thanks.

Thanks, JC!

About the final: was it a one-off? Two-legged? Where played? Score?

If this stuff isn't readily to hand don't trouble yourself digging it out. I'm just doing some background research for an article.

Thanks again,
Gerry

BTW, there were several JC lookalikes spotted while you were in France: check JW's back posts! :)

From what I can remember I'd say 100, it was the Thursday after the Cup final and it was disappointing to see such a small crowd. However it was due to be played in Tolka, don't know why it wasn't but it ended up in Flancare anyways!

Bishopstown, I believe, will be home for City's U21s. They kick off v Peake Villa next weekend. Buckets of info on this in the prog v Dundalk - natch!
