Few chances in Ballybofey

Finn Harps 0-0 Limerick City
Neither ‘keeper was severely threatened for 70-minutes as Finn Harps and Limerick City played out an unexciting scoreless draw.

The supporters had little to cheer about in the opening 45-minutes as both sides cancelled each other out in the middle of the park. There were no clear-cut chances as both ‘keepers could afford to relax.

The second half was a minor improvement with the first shot on goal coming after five-minutes wit Jon Kenny testing the reflexes of Limerick’s John Healy. Kevin McHugh came close to scoring a trademark goal shortly afterwards but Healy was again up to his effort while Limerick supporters who made the long trek had to wait for 14-minutes from time for their best opportunity. Eoin Keating controlled and fired in a shot, which Gavin Cullen did well to tip over to safety.

Finn Harps – Cullen, Asokuh, Minnock. D Boyle, Bradley (Speak 82), Mohan, Kenny (Scanlon 72), Lloyd, R Boyle, McHugh. Bonner.

Limerick City – Feeney, O’Mahony, Molan, Finucane, Purcell, Keating, Sugeru, Whyte (O’Donoghue 86), Cooney, McCarthy (Heffernan 55), O’Flynn (Foley 82).
