The Irish-owned sports network will broadcast the Republic of Ireland's games in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Montenegro.
is it only home games that have to be on terrestrial tv?

Yes.
Home association owns the broadcasting rights and can sell them to whoever they want (ie who pays most).

As long as it's not TV3, I don't mind

hmm, Setanta must have moved pretty fast, I thought that they needed to negotiate with each individual association.

Setanta showed the Montenegro v Republic Of Ireland Under 21 game. As a dry run as things have turned out, could it have been any better from their viewpoint? The draw I mean

They'll most likely have it on their pay channel but you're missing out on loads of football without the PPV anyway.

they do need to negotiate with each fed. they haven't got the italy game though.
anywho, lest we forget, it is highly probable stan would have gotten the sack a lot sooner had the san marino game been on rte with the lads there to rip the p!ss out of him, so maybe we can use this as a negotiating trick with the new guy (sure if we play sh1te away and lose, sure no-one will be watchin!)
