Bulgaria - Easyjet from Gatwick
Montenegro - To Belgrade, then train to Pogdorica. Loadsa flights to Beograd
Italy - easy
Cyprus - Should all know by now
Georgia - Nearly impossible. Cheapest flights will probably be about e600.
4 out of 5 should be easy, but unless there are some cheap charters to tbilisi, Georgia will be hellish.

Italy - easy
Italy rotated their EURO qualifiers around from Rome, Naples, Bari, Milan, Modeno

You don't need a visa for Georgia anymore. BMI, BA, Austrian and Turkish all go there, looks about GBP450 minimum return.
Don't think we need a visa for Montenegro either.
Wizz also fly to Bulgaria from Luton and are pretty cheap.

Montenegro airlines seem to fly daily from Frankfurt, Rome and Vienna to Podgorica (I presume that's where they'll play).

I'm impressed with how quickly you people get off the mark. A mates parents has a flat just outside sofia so could be sorted for accomadation there, pity we wont be able to get crackin on the Italy match till they confirm the stadium.

italy has a bangin national rail system. bangin (just to confirm, i did indeed use the word "bangin")
only e32 for tickets from ancona to treviso when we were left high and dry by ryanair after the san marino game and had to trek cross country to get home the next day.

Myself and Babysis were researching
Heathrow to Tbilisi with Lufthansa
Heathrow to Tbilisi with flyBMI
Paris, Frankfurt or Amsterdam to Tbilisi with Georgian Airways (Cheapie ryanair flights/eurostar etc.)
Also chances of us two getting sold with the trips in this group are significantly higher

Fair play to ya.
How about an Italy - Montenegro double header? There is a sixteen hour ferry from Bari to Bar on the Montenegro coast. It'll be just like Bratislava - Prague all over again!

I wonder when the fixtures meeting will be. For the euros they meeting happended only a couple of weeks after the draw. Ideally for the FAI they'd like the new manager in place.
Is there a chance that there may be a qualifier in June 08?
Remember due to our landlords we will have to play our games away in June & September.
Tiblisi is doable, fly over on Lufthansa from London via Munich and home
on Austrian Airlines via Vienna or Turkish Air via Istanbul
Probbaly get ther a lot handier than our tour os England and Wales to get
to Cardiff :D

No chance I'm afraid - will have to wait till the Euro's are outta the way - won't be kicking off the group untill the first week in September.
Can't wait to see where we're off to first !!!!:D:D:D

Would Bulgaria /Montenegro not be better for all of us who hate the slow boat to china. Only 200 miles between capitals. (Same as Brataslava & Prague)

Aerlingus fly to dubrovnik ( only 60 miles from podgorica) in Montenegro. Train to Sofia and home Via London gatwick with easyjet and our friends at Ryanair. Jesus sounds like it could be the trip. Hope Delaney gets his finger out and looks after my holiday plans for next September! Lets have this double header in September when they play "hand ball" in croker!
Draw could have been a lot worse, I know when the London Irish went to Tiblisi in 2003 they went via Istanbul, Italy easy to get to, i'd like the thought of the Bulgaria and Montenegro games being a double header. As for Cyprus it felt like what Bill Murray had to put up with in Groundhog day.

.
Interviewed on 6.1 ,Delaney said the fixture meeting was 3rd week in January but when asked whether he expected a manger to be in place by then he shifted the question and said he expected to have it in place by the Brazil game. So I think we can take it as a no.
That Italy-Montenegro ferry double header sounds very tasty, would love to see that work out.Cant wait for the fixtures to be released and we can start looking at flights and the buzz starts over, even if its still months away.:)

Italy - Montenegro as a double header or Montenegro- Bulgaria as a double header are both excellent options. The fixtures meeting is in Sofia next month let's hope someone negotiating on behalf of the FAI has their act together.
