Paul Jewell just been on BBC saying he was offered the Ireland job & turned it down :). So much for getting a big name manager who can actually take us to major championships. At this rate Souness will think he has a chance

Dont think he actually said he was offered it. DId he not say he was spoken to to see if he was interested.? Are you suggesting that Paul Jewell is a big name manager?

Yeah, I dont think that is the case, Paul Jewell ruled himself out of the running for the job, it was never offered to him He did have a call with Giles and Delaney supposedly rang him to consider remaining in the running but not with a firm job offer
