Talk about property prices and bore the hole off everyone you come into contact with. That's what modern Ireland is all about.

House prices and road deaths, that covers about 90% of the conversation. Well on daytime radio anyway, which is all I had to listen in the hire car the last two Summers that I have done a tour of the west with my girlfriend.

Sit back and watch the games without (a) having to wait for the inevitable moment when we're knocked out due to a poor refereeing decision and (b) not having to worry whether England will do well and (c) not having to listen to the panel castigating our manager.

Bottle of sauvingon plonk, a packet of crisps (Tayto) and enjoy!

Maybe, just perhaps, you might go to your national league - the eircom League will be running all next Summer (presumably with a random 2 week break in early June to co-incide with missing out on people caught up with watching the games on TV and fancying going to some live football).

Well perhaps this topic might need a thread of it's own but who will you be up for at Euro 2008? I want Italy to win 40 years since they last won the Henri Delaunay Cup !

1. Support your nearest ELOI team EVERY WEEK possible!
