Arcade Fire's Intervention or No Cars Go and Prince's Guitar or The One U Wanna C.

I like loads of the tunes played in the clubs but it seems to me it's been a pretty crap year for music. I mean Hey There Delilah is a terrible song, imo.

Cribs - A Man's needs is the only song I can readily Identify so far and that's cause of Soccer AM.

Scrolling back....... have the Prince album and ''Guitar '' is a good song as is '' The One U Wanna C ''!
There's a single being released in December called Elvis Ain't Dead by Scouting Girls I think saw the video today.. Good song but it will probably be counted in the 2008 summary given it's not being released as a single till 10 days before Christmas.

My favourite of this year has to be on reflection '' Your Love Alone Is Not Enough '' By The Nina Perssons featuring Manic Street Preacher :D

Picked up the new Springsteen album over the weekend, Radio Nowhere is a top tune.
Nothing else comes to mind that hasn't already been mentioned, not a classic year for music :(

The Hold Steady seem to be an interesting, quirky sort of band. I haven't heard too much of them (Stuck Between Stations, and a couple of other tracks on Youtube) I can't make up my mind whether I really like them or not. Anyone got their album ? Is it any good ?

Good songs - some great, even - but it sounds awful - compressed to f**k; hard to listen to all the way through -sounds like it was recorded to be listened to on an ipod

Fair enough, don't know a lot about them, have only heard a few of their tunes and only heard that song recently. Was it only released as a single this year maybe? No matter, they're one of the bands I just never got around to getting into, but will be putting that right soon.
